The energy transition is already well underway. However, it is happening at different speeds across Europe. In order to fulfil the EU’s climate and energy goals, the heating and cooling sector must sharply reduce its energy consumption and cut its use of fossil fuels.
This session will take place emphasise the importance of research, innovation and demonstration projects for thermal planning tools, while at the same time it will provide a menu of possible pathways and instruments that can inform the Heating and Cooling debate and relevant legislative initiatives, optimise mainstream and replicate state-of-the-art practice, aimed at making the resilient Energy Union a reality.
